Pennsylvanian
From The Pennsylvania Gazette
February 20, 1788

Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? It is feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.

The downside to using a sword is that you have to put down your coconut halves in order to use it. Completely ruins the effect of a mounted attack.

A sword is actually a very good weapon for self-defense. It has the advantage of being a big surprise to intruders, and even if you've never been trained in fencing, you can wield the bad boy like a baseball bat and quite effectively hack away at whichever part of the anatomy the unfortunate intruder is foolish enough to direct toward you.

Double-barrel shotgun, cocked and ready, directed brainward from a position just below the intruder's chin is still preferred as the most effective deterrent to crime.

Ha! Why an option like that would make anyone rethink their career path.

There's a few people running around different forums with the following in their signature:

"Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam"

That's Latin for: "I have a catapult. Give me all the money, or I will fling an enormous rock at your head."

Sweet! I'm gonna end up stealing that line for MY signature!
